Dan Potter is a tennis teaching professional with over 10 years coaching experience and 25 years playing experience and as a Junior played County Tennis.
Dan has coached players of all abilities from club to county level. He has worked with many clubs in the region and supported the LTA in the development of club tennis in local communities. His player performance programmes has also enabled many juniors to reach their full potential. Dan has also introduced and delivered tennis programmes to many state and independent schools around the Midlands.
Other past experiences include working in the US to help lead tennis programmes for children in Massachusetts Summer camps. Dan also worked in Cairns Australia to enhance development of talented juniors in the local area.
Although he only joined the coaching set up at Oakham in 2014, Dan has played for the club since he was a junior. Over recent years, Dan has been heavily involved in the development of junior and senior club tennis. His work has enabled Oakham Tennis Club to become one of the top coaching set-ups in Rutland & Leicestershire.
Dan’s objective at Oakham is to provides an enjoyable and positive learning environment for all levels. He aims to maintain a high-competitive but fun standard at the club. Where players want it, Dan will strive to motivate and guide ambitious players to their highest level.
